My plan for the shoot is to have two plates, one smashed and the other one normal. The quote to go along with this is “The more you lose, the better you get.”- Ian Somerhalder. The smashed and normal plate will be photographed together to represent ‘failure’ and “new beginnings” and working on something to make it right and successful. The broken plate will be onto of a dull background colour to represent dark times in life when you are working towards something but not quite there yet. Where as the normal plate will be on top of a bright contrasting background colour to show the successful period of time continuing on after the broken dark times. i.e. the smashed plate. The contrasting background colour I have chosen for the broken plate will be black, this colour associates with dispair.The contrasting background colour I have chosen for the normal plate will be yellow, this colour associates with bright and cheery feelings.
